Julie Miller, DVM

Dr. Julie Miller is a General Practitioner and has owned Pet's Friend Animal Clinic since 2002.

A native of Southern California, she says that she had wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. Now, having been in practice in the Bay Area for over 15 years, she particularly loves the long term relationships she has developed with her clients.

Dr. Miller attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for her undergraduate studies, and then the University of California at Davis (UCD) School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with her doctorate in 1993. She completed an internship in Surgery and Emergency medicine in Los Angeles, then began practicing in Northern California in 1994. She was elected to the Board of a local Emergency clinic and has served as the secretary and advisor since 2006.

She, her husband and young son share their home with a standard poodle named Luc. When not at the clinic, she enjoys making jewelry and family outings.

Sarah Santiago, DVM

Sarah Santiago, DVM

Dr. Sarah Santiago is an Associate Veterinarian who has been with Pet's Friend Animal Clinic since June of 2010.

Originally from Edwardsville, Illinois, one of Dr. Santiago's most important veterinary experiences was a summer internship at the Central Park Zoo in Manhattan. This experience solidified her motivation to become a veterinarian. Since then, she says practicing veterinary medicine has enabled her to spend her working life helping families and their pets lead happier healthier lives, which she finds very rewarding.

For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Santiago attended the University of California at Berkeley where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology in 2001. A year later she enrolled in the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery with Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in New York City before working as a general practitioner in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Dr. Santiago's area of special professional interest is internal medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the California Veterinary Medical Association. She has also performed volunteer work with the Rural Area Veterinary Services.

At home, Dr. Santiago has a French bulldog named Piglet that she rescued from a private owner. Her interests include baking, cooking, gardening and traveling.

Chelsea Davidson, DVM

Chelsea Davidson, DVM

Dr. Chelsea Davidson is an Associate Veterinarian who has been a member of the Pet's Friend Animal Clinic medical staff since August of 2004.

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Davidson says than an early influence on her decision to become a veterinarian was the relationship with her childhood dog, a golden retriever named Rebel. Now that she is a veterinarian, she says she enjoys helping nurture the bond between people and their pets.

For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Davidson attended Clemson University where she routinely made Dean's List and President's List and was a member of the Clemson rowing team. In 1996, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. That same year she enrolled in Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. During veterinary school she was honored with the Human/Animal Bond Award. She is a member of the Veterinary Information Network, California Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Davidson and her husband are parents to young twins, a boy and a girl. Her interests include baking, running, reading and crossword puzzles.

Jill Muth, DVM

Jill Muth, DVM

Born and raised in San Jose, Dr. Jill Muth attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and received her B.S. Degree in Animal Science in 1997. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was admitted to Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

As an undergraduate and as a veterinary student, Dr. Muth was recognized for her academic achievements. At California Polytechnic, she was a member of the honors society and graduated cum laude. During her senior year of veterinary school, she received an award for her proficiency in medicine and surgery.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Muth was accepted to a one-year internship program in internal medicine, cardiology and surgery at the California Animal Hospital.

A general veterinary practitioner at Pet's Friend Animal Clinic since 2004, Dr. Muth is married to Jason, a local realtor.
