Dr. Julie Miller has been in general practice and the medical director of Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic since 2002.
Born in Southern California, she had always dreamed of being a veterinarian .
Now, having been in practice in the Bay Area for over 25 years, she particularly loves the long term relationships that she has developed with her clients and their pet families.
Dr. Miller attended UCLA for undergraduate studies, and UC Davis for her doctorate in veterinary medicine. Once completing her degree, she returned to Los Angeles to pursue an internship in Surgery and Emergency medicine prior to moving to the Bay Area peninsula. Dr. Miller is a member of local and national associations including CVMA, AVMA and American Association for Feline Practitioners.
She is excited to be able to now offer acupuncture as well, having completed and intensive course through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society ( IVAS) in early 2020. She, her husband, and their middle school aged son share their home with their Standard Poodle Anna.
Dr. Miller actively supports Nor Cal Poodle Rescue and regularly attends Poodle Day in Carmel, an annual fundraiser. for Nor Cal Poodle Rescue. When (if) she has free time, she enjoys arts, crafts , making jewelry, and family outings.
