Originally from the Sacramento area, Dr. Smith is happy to be living in the Bay Area close to family and friends. She has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was 5 years old and she dedicated her early years to achieving this goal working in veterinary clinics growing up. She attended the University of California, Davis for both her bachelor's degree and her veterinary degree. She spent the first years of practice in the Central Valley working as a mixed animal veterinarian but found her niche in small animal medicine and is blessed to be part of the Pet’s Friend team. Her passions include dermatology, cytology, and client communication. She enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets and forming trusting and long-lasting bonds.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, and her workout routine. Singing has also been a passion for her - she is currently a member of the Sunnyvale Singers and loves being part of the community. She is an avid cat lover and has two felines of her own: Fred and George. She loves to explore all that the Bay Area has to offer including all the wonderful food and culture in the region. One of her current focuses is improving her Spanish skills to help serve the Spanish-speaking South Bay community.
