Julie Miller, DVM
Dr. Julie Miller is a General Practitioner and has owned Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic since 2002. Born in Southern California, she says that she knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. Now, having been in practice in the Bay Area for over 20 years, she particularly loves the long-term relationship she has developed with her clients.
Dr. Miller attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for her undergraduate studies and then the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with her doctorate, she completed an internship in Surgery and Emergency Medicine in Los Angeles and then began practicing in Northern California. She has served as a Board member of a local emergency clinic and currently serves as an advisor for animal healthcare in the local community. Dr. Miller is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
She, her husband and young son share their home with two standard poodles, Luc and Anna. Dr. Miller actively supports Nor Cal Poodle Rescue and regularly attends Poodle Day in Carmel, an annual fundraiser. for Nor Cal Poodle Rescue. When (if) she has free time, she enjoys horseback riding, making jewelry, and family outings.
Chelsea Davidson, DVM
Dr. Chelsea Davidson has been a member of the Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic medical team since 2004. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Davidson’s decision to become a veterinarian was influenced by her childhood dog, a golden retriever named Rebel. Her work passion is nurturing the bond between people and their pets.
Dr. Davidson attended Clemson University where she routinely made the Dean’s List and was a member of the Clemson rowing team. In 1996, she entered Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. During veterinary school she was honored with the Human-Animal Bond Award. Dr. Davidson is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Dr. Davidson and her husband are parents of twins, a boy and girl. She and her family share their home with Tanner, an enthusiastic golden retriever. She has become an expert at balancing a busy life and enjoys baking, running, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Erica Koski, DVM
Dr. Erica Koski has been a member of the Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic medical team for three years. She was born and raised in the San Francisco East Bay. She spent her undergraduate years at California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she moved back to the East Bay to work as a veterinary technician prior to attending veterinary school. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Koski completed a one-year small animal internship prior to joining the Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic medical team.
Dr. Koski enjoys spending time with her cat, Hunter, visiting with family and friends, and taking her road bike out to the coast.
Allison Moore, DVM
Dr. Allison Moore recently joined the Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic team, and we are thrilled to have her onboard. Born in Southern California, Dr. Moore attended the University of California at Santa Barbara for her undergraduate studies. She then attended the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She is a veterinary classmate of Dr. Erica Koski.
Dr. Moore has always known that her calling is to be a veterinarian, and she aims to serve pets and people with joy and compassion. Outside of Pet’s Friend, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets: Trout, an Australian shepherd mix, Tioga, a Samoyed, and Merlin, a mischievous Bengal cat. She also enjoys reading, swimming, and being in the community at C3SV Church.
Justine Ma, DVM
Dr. Justine Ma is the newest member to join the Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic team. Though a Southern California native, Dr. Ma completed her undergraduate studies and veterinary school a few hours north at the University of California, Davis, where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After veterinary school, she moved to the Bay Area to embark on her career as a veterinarian. Dr. Ma also has a passion for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She completed her formal training through the Chi Institute so she can begin to practice the different modalities of TCVM, which include veterinary acupuncture, food therapy, and herbal therapy. She hopes to incorporate these modalities in her practice at Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic.
Outside of work, Dr. Ma enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, her friends and exploring the Bay Area. As a vegan, she enjoys trying tons of different vegan dishes, both through home cooking and at restaurants. She enjoys dancing, especially different Latin dances and is currently on a Salsa dance team. She enjoys being active and participating in martial arts - she’s currently training in Krav Maga and Combat Hapkido.
